Important Update on Our Electricity Supply
We hope this message finds you all well. We want to take a moment to inform you about some ongoing issues we are currently facing at the pub regarding our electricity supply.
What Happened?
Recently, we discovered a fault under the pavement that has led to the loss of two phases of our electrical supply. This unforeseen issue has significantly affected our operations, particularly in the kitchen and the lighting and sockets on the first floor.
Impact on Our Services
As a result of this electrical fault, we are experiencing some challenges that may affect your experience with us:
Kitchen Operations: Our kitchen is currently running at limited capacity, which may impact our menu offerings and service times.
For now, we will be closing the kitchen on Fridays and Saturdays, and on Sunday April 12th. We will be extending the availability of our filled rolls over these times to compensate for lack of menu. When we reopen we will have an exciting new selection of home made dishes for the new season.
We hope to be able to provide Sunday lunch service on Sunday April 19th - we will update via the website and our social media channels.
Lighting Issues: The lighting on the first floor is affected, creating a less than ideal atmosphere for our guests.
Socket Availability: Electrical sockets on the first floor are also out of service, which may affect your ability to charge devices or use electronic equipment.
What We Are Doing
We are actively working with our utility provider to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.
Unfortunately, due to the location of the fault, it cannot be rectified until the scaffolding is removed, and that cannot happen until work on our roof has been completed.
Our team is dedicated to restoring full service, and we appreciate your patience during this time.

We understand that these disruptions may be inconvenient, and we sincerely apologize for any impact this may have on your visit. Your support and understanding mean a lot to us as we work to rectify this situation.
On a positive note, we completed most of the refurbishment of our beer cellar successfully, but are awating a newer, more efficient cooler being installed soon which will help us to save energy. This is not anticipated to require any closure time.
