Job Description:
We are seeking motivated and energetic weekend bartenders to join our team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a compact, but busy, bar environment, providing excellent service while managing a variety of tasks. Familiarity with cask ales and basic cellar craft is desired, but training can be provided for the right candidate.
Available hours of work: (Not all are required to be worked in sequence)
Fridays 7.00pm - 12:30am
Saturdays 3.00pm - 7.30pm
Sundays 11:30am - 5:30pm
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cask ales, basic cocktails, and soft drinks.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
Clear and clean tables, wash and put away glassware.
Assist with the management of the cellar, including stock rotation and inventory control.
Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
Multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment, handling orders and requests efficiently.
Work across three floors, ensuring timely service and communication with the customers.
Take orders for Sunday lunch food service, communicate with the kitchen, and manage multiple tabs / tables.
Comply with health and safety regulations.
Comply with responsible alcohol service guidelines within the requirements of UK licensing law.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a bar or hospitality environment is essential.
A basic understanding of how food service operates.
Familiarity with cask ale cellarcraft is a plus, but not essential.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
Ability to work effectively alone / unsupervised.
Problem solving skills and use of initiative.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Well presented with a clean, professional, confident outlook.
Physically fit and able to navigate multiple floors while carrying items as needed.
Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
Experience cashing up post shift is desirable, as well as running a till.
A good grasp of arithmetic.
